Text Box: Kiva
2003-2017

Kiva is no longer with us, but will remain forever in our hearts. I adopted him through Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue as a 10 week old puppy. He was the sweetest most loving boy and a great “Big Brother” to my golden girls and the many fosters we have had through his years. It is a rare occasional that you would find him without a ball in his mouth or three!
Text Box: Sandy
2008-2019
After 11 wonderful years, her beautiful heart finally gave out. She had a congenital heart defect (SAS) and was only expected to live 1-2 years. We had a long and wonderful life filled with many activities. We learned to live day to day and cherish every moment. I called her my “pretty brown-eyed girl”. She was the most gentle, loving,
sweetest girl—the quintessential Golden Retriever.
Text Box: Brie
Sweet Brie. She has the same heart defect as Sandy (SAS) and they estimate her life expectancy to be 2-4 years. She is currently 7 years old and spent the first 3 of those years as a breeder. She had never known life outside of a pen so we are exploring a new world! She is very sweet and we hope that she will have a very
long and happy life with us.
Text Box: Scarlet
Scarlet is our newest addition. She has travelled all the way from China to be with us! After learning of the Dog Meat Trade I had to at least save one dog from that horrible fate. I saw her in a post one day on Face Book and tracked her down. It took six months to finally bring her to the US and she arrived safely in San Francisco in June 2018. She has been amazing! Sweet, smart, loyal and the most
loving companion you could hope for.
